The 20th Century Masters project is a modern effort at recapturing the classics and repackaging them for newer generations to be exposed to and enjoy. Released March 9, 1999, the Lynyrd Skynyrd edition compiles some of the band's greatest and most recognizable hits. The album was certified Gold on 2/12/2001, Platinum on 3/24/2003 and 2x Platinum on 1/13/2006 by the R.I.A.A.
